If you want to see your body change and feel like you’re doing everything right, I highly recommend having a professional look at how you’re eating.
I felt like I was eating the right foods. But for simplicity’s sake, was pretty much adhering to my diabetic boyfriend’s diet. Turns out, I really needed carbs, and, I couldn’t have known that without the help of @Shearer_nutrition!

I had heard tracking macros was helpful, but I was so intimidated by the idea and didn’t know what it meant. And, it seemed so hard.
Sarah walked me through all of it, gave me a plan completely customized to me and my goals, checked in daily to make sure I was within range of my numbers, and checked in with me on a weekly call to see how I was doing, what needed adjusting, and how she could help. My sleep and energy levels have improved, my workouts don’t feel impossible anymore, and I’m actually gaining traction and seeing progress.
Now that my body is properly fueled, it works with me to meet my goals rather than feeling like a weight dragging me down.

I signed up for CrossFit about 4 years ago thinking this was the magic pill – hint, there is no magic pill. I look back at that now and laugh at myself. No amount of work in the gym was going to overcome my nutrition – or lack thereof. I’ve tried it all over the years (WW, Keto, ETP etc) and up until about 5 years ago, was successful in losing the weight but did nothing for my body composition.
